Skilled Worker Visa

Skilled Worker Visa

The UK Skilled Worker Visa was introduced to bring highly skilled foreign workers into the UK labor market and later to obtain permanent residency in the UK.

With this visa, skilled workers from other countries can be selected on the basis of a shortfall occupation list and will be eligible to receive an offer letter and stay in the UK for 5 years without labor market testing.

BENEFITS OF THE VISA:

  • Visa holders can bring dependents on the visa
  • The spouse is allowed to work on the visa
  • No cap on the number of people who can move to the UK on the visa
  • The minimum salary requirement has been reduced to £25600 from the threshold of £30000
  • Fast Track Visas will be provided for healthcare professionals like doctors and nurses

Documents Required:

-> A valid passport
-> A copy of your passport’s data page
-> 3 passport pictures based on biometric specifications
-> A cover letter
-> Diploma of your degrees and qualification
-> Your detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV)
-> Proof of accommodation in Germany
-> Proof of financial support/funds
-> Formal obligation letter by a sponsor living in Germany
-> Bank account statement
-> Blocked bank account
-> Proof of personal status in your home country (such as birth certificate, marriage certificate)
-> Proof of your health insurance

Work Visa Application Process:

Once you have gathered the necessary documents, the final step is to fill out an application form from your Embassy office for the job seeker visa. After you have submitted the form, you will have to schedule an appointment for an interview. Your background and documents, application form, and interview will determine whether the Embassy grants you the  job seeker visa.

If a candidate has their job on the SOL, they can be paid 80% of the “going rate” for their job in order to qualify for the UK Skilled Worker visa.
